A man you probably never heard of, but almost certainly are familiar with his work, died at the age of 87 in his home today.
Irvin Kershner is best known for directing Empire Strikes Back and the darker more sinister feel to the movie. He is also known for one of the more memorable lines in the movie involving Harrison Ford. Apparently Ford was supposed to say, “I love you too” after princess Lea declares her love for him. Instead Kershner changed the line to, “I know”
